The Command department is ultimately responsible for the ship and
its crew, and those within the department are responsible for
commanding the vessel and representing the interests of the
International Federation of Trekkers.

Ultimately responsible
for the ship and crew, the Commanding Officer is the most senior
officer aboard a vessel. S/he is responsible for carrying out the
orders of Starfleet, and for representing both Starfleet and the
Federation. |

Executive Officer (Department Head)

The liaison between
captain and crew, the Executive Officer acts as the disciplinarian,
personnel manager, advisor to the captain, and much more. S/he is
also one of only two officers, along with the Chief Medical Officer,
that can remove a Commanding Officer from duty. |

Acts as the executive
officer in the event that either the first officer or the commanding
officer is incapacitated, the second officer usually holds another
position aboard the ship. |

The senior most chief
petty officer aboard a vessel, in addition to his/her duties as a
member of the crew, the Chief of the Boat also serves as liaison
between the command staff and the enlisted crewmen, acts as
disciplinarian for enlisted crewmen, and overall is responsible for
all enlisted aboard the ship. |

Yeoman

A petty officer assigned
to administrative duties involving secretarial and clerical work.
He/she assists the CO in tackling the bureaucracy of a starship. |

The Security Department |

The Security
Department has a three-fold job. The first is to be onsite security
for away-missions. During this time they will be responsible for the
well-being of crew members, and property of the chapter. Special
training is required and offered by the command staff before members
can act in this capacity.
Their second mission is to insure the
internal security of the Agamemnon, that all property is secured in
its place, that forms requiring a certain level of SECULAR are not
made available to members or non-members without proper clearance,
and that the general security of information and operations of the
chapter are running according to both Starfleet Regulations and to
the IFT Bylaws.
They are also in charge of all classified
information on board the USS Agamemnon. And lastly they are
responsible for the weapons aboard the Agamemnon |

Chief Security Officer |
The Chief Security Officer's duty is
to ensure the safety of ship and crew. The Chief of Security takes
it as their personal duty to protect the Commanding/Executive
Officer on away teams. She/he is also responsible for people under
arrest and the safety of guests, liked or not. S/he also is a
department head and a member of the senior staff, responsible for
all the crew members in her/his department and duty rosters. |

Assistant Chief
Security Officer

The
Assistant Chief of Security is responsible for helping
maintain security aboard the ship, for providing protection
for away teams, and for helping lead security teams on
combat missions. |

Security Officer
|
Trained
in personnel combat, both melee and ranged, security
officers predominately serve as the security force aboard a
vessel, as well as accompanying away teams and providing
protection for diplomats and ambassadors. |

Brig Officer
|
As the
supervisor of the brig, the Brig Officer is a Security
Officer who serves task also as the disciplinarian and
caretaker for inmates by delivering anything from
punishments to food and medicine to the inmates. |

Master-At-Arms |
The
quartermaster and armory supervisor, the Master-at-Arms
trains and supervises all security personnel in the
operations, repairs, and protocols concerning the various
weapons at their disposal; he also runs the armory and
supervises firearm deployment. |

Engineering Department |

The engineering
department is responsible for the maintenance of any technology used
by the crew from computers to vehicles and so on. Members of the
engineering department will have to choose a specialty and show a
working knowledge in that field.
They will also may be called upon
to teach courses to crew members in the proper use of different
technologies, ranging from real life computers all the way to the
Warp Core. |

parts of the ship working, assigning engineers to fix those that
aren't. |

working is one of the most complicated jobs around, and as such, as
Assistant Chief Engineering Officer serves to assist the Chief
Engineering Officer; often also serves at the engineering station on
the bridge. |

engineers serve on all vessels to perform most of the standard
maintenance and repair tasks. |

Computer Systems
Specialist |
Ships and
vessels are dependent on very sophisticated computer systems; these
specialists are responsible for maintaining them. |

Damage Control
Specialist |
Responsible for
managing damage control during and after battles, these specialists
know the strengths of the entire engineering team so they can best
utilize them during repairs. |

Matter/Energy
Specialist |
All aspects of
matter and energy transfer, with the exception of the warp drive
system, are handled by these specialists. |

Propulsion
Specialist |
Specializing in
impulse and warp propulsion, these specialists are often specific to
even a single class of ship due to the complexity of warp and
impulse systems. |

Structural/Environmental Systems Specialist |
Maintaining the
internal dampening, structural integrity, and environmental systems
is not an easy job; it is fulfilled by these trained specialists. |

Transporter

An NCO well
versed with the transporter and its system, these chiefs are quick
thinkers and skilled at repairing the complex transporter systems
aboard any vessel. |

Helm/Navigation Department |

Navigations and Helms
are responsible for the plotting of routes for travel to events.
They will also operate the vehicles used to transport crew members.
This requires them to have a valid driver's license, operate insured
vehicles only, and assure that all members are following vehicle
safety guidelines.
They will be expected to learn and teach the many
forms of navigation such as compass use, map reading, celestial
navigation, and the use of GPS equipment |

Helm Officer

head and member of the bridge crew, the Conn, as s/he is called, is
responsible for piloting the ship during most major encounters. |

A Flight Control
Officer is required on the bridge at all times; as such, they acts
as helmsman when the Chief Helm Officer is not at the Conn. |

Pilot |
Responsible for
piloting the various auxiliary craft (besides fighters), these
pilots are responsible for transporting their passengers safely to
and from locations that are inaccessible via the transporter. |

Marine Division Page |
|
The Marines
department is the strictest of the Agamemnon departments. They are
responsible for escorts of VIP'S, and an augmentation to the
security force, but will not replace the security force. The rest of
there duties are mostly ceremonial.
The marine detachment will form
a color guard and honor guard which will be available to perform at
members weddings, VIP visits (from IFT, other organizations, and the world at large), and
other major events if requested. They will also be performing in
parades. Though prior military training is preferred it isn't
necessary to be a member of the Marines division. |
Marine Detachment Commander Second Executive Officer |
The Detachment Commander is
responsible for all the Marine personnel assigned to the
ship/facility. S/he is in required to take command of any special
ground operations and lease such actions with security.
S/he also is a department head and a member of the Senior Staff. The
Marines could be called the 24th century Commandos.
At times the MDC must assume command of a mission, Starship or base,
when this happens the MDC needs the help of another officer to
assume his/her role as XO. The Marine Detachment Commander is when
required will assume the role of XO, or if needed CO, and performs
there duties as listed, for as long as required. |
Detachment Deputy Commander |
The Assistant, works like any Asst.
Department head, removing some of the work load from the Detachment
Commander and if the need arises taking on the role of Detachment
Commander.
S/he overseas the regular duties of the Marines, from regular drills
to equipment training, assignment and supply request to the
ship/facilities Materials Officer. |

Company Commander |
The Company Commander is responsible
for all the Marine personnel assigned to his/her company. S/he is in

Responsible for the welfare for all
Marines NCO's under his/her command in that Squad. Required to lead
and command the Squad in and out of Combat. Provide training for the
Squad both physically and mentally. Maintain order and discipline.
Reports to Platoon Leader. Position requires any Officer rank, or
the NCO rate of Chief Petty Officer or Gunnery Sergeant. |

Assistant Squad Leader |
Asst. to the Squad leader, responsible
for overseeing the implementing of orders from the Squad Leader. May
be held by any Marine NCO rate |

Marine |
Sometimes referred to as the grunt,
gropo, ground-pounder, leatherneck, jar-head, or sir. The backbone
of the Marines, the field troops. Required to follow orders, and
think oh his/her feet if needed. Answers to the Asst. Squad Leader |

Medical personnel
are required to have some kind of medical certification. Such
certifications can include Red Cross First Aid and CPR, Paramedic
training, and / or search and rescue training. All certifications
are subject to verification.
They are also responsible for
maintaining the health of the crew of the Agamemnon by seeing that
safety regulations are followed, all for away missions. They may
also be required to teach courses on health issues.

Chief Medical

Responsible for
the physical well being of the crew, the Chief Medical Officer
serves as chief physician, a medical researcher, and more as well as
heading up the Medical & Counseling department. S/he, along with the
XO, is one of the only officers who can remove a CO from duty. |
Chief Counselor
(Department Head) |
Head of the
counseling branch of the medical department, the chief counselor is
a member of the senior staff and serves to make sure that the crew
is in good mental health at all times. |

Medical Officer

Responsible for
assisting the Chief Medical Officer with examinations,
administration, etc. in order to ensure the physical well being of
the crew. |
|
Nurse |
Trained in basic
medical care, these NCOs assist the medical staff in operations, and
are able to treat minor injuries and such on their own. They also
maintain the medical ward and deal with the trivial tasks to allow
the medical personnel to focus on the real problems. |

Counselor |
Trained in
psychology and more, counselors are responsible for maintaining the
mental well being of the ship and crew. |

This department is
responsible for research and instruction in all things scientific. A
science officer will be expected to choose a field of expertise and
study and then will be asked to teach courses of information within
that field.
Education is the core of the science department. |

While the fields
of science are very specific, non-specialized science officers serve
to assist the specialists in their tests and analysis. |

Anthropologist |
Responsible for
studying newly discovered aliens and life forms, they are well
versed in most known alien cultures, both past and present. |
|
Biologist
|
Often associated
with the medical department as well, the biologist's role entails
the studies of botany, biology, zoology, and the other life
sciences. |
|
Stellar
Cartographer |
Responsible for
managing the star charts and coordinating navigation with the flight
control officers, the Stellar Cartographer is always adding to the
map of the galaxy so Starfleet's has a better knowledge of it. |

 Support Department Page |
|
Special Services is what keeps the day to day
activities of the Officers and Crewmen as relaxing, and soothing as
possible. They are Starfleet's branch of Cooks, Waiters, Lounge
Managers, Barbers, Janitors, and Fitness Coordinators. Basically
anyone who makes a living out of improving others.

Bar/Lounge Manager |
On almost every Starfleet vessel and base, there is some kind of recreational
area. A place where all members of the crew can relax and enjoy, a place to
forget the rigors of the day. The Bar/Lounge Manger runs such
establishments for the crew. |
|
Bartender |
A ship/facility is operational 24 hours a day, and thus people are on duty
around the clock, each having there free time at different times, but the
recreational areas must stay open to accommodate these people.
A Bar/Lounge Manager could not keep going 24 hours every day, and thus
requires staff to assist him/her. |
|
Waiter/Waitress |
Every bar, every restaurant needs some form of friendly service to help the
crew relax. A warm smile who brings your food or drinks, to chat when
somebody is alone or down. the Waiter/Waitress are theses people. |
|
School Teacher |
In the modern 24th century, many children are taught by computer holograms.
However real interaction with a living person is still valued. A computer
can only teach so much. The teachers responsibilities is the education of
the children aboard the ship/facility.
Additionally the teacher may be
able to provide assistance in his/her field of specialty when required. |
|
Barber |
In the modern 24th century, many people still need to get hair cuts. This can
be done by more, modern means, however real interaction with a living person
is still valued. Besides, like the bartender, a barber is a good place to
get advice, get something off your chest, or just talk about 'scuttlebutt'
or gossip. |
|
Civilian Specialist |
Many of the Federation's top minds and specialists in
different fields aren't in Starfleet, they are civilians. These people often
venture into space aboard Starships and other facilities. They maybe
Doctors, Scientist, or even Engineers. They use some of the science labs,
when possible, to do their work while not interfering in operations of the
ship or facility. Starfleet's primary role is exploration, and having these
people on board really helps that endeavor. |

Civilian |
Many federation Starships and facilities have civilian
personnel aboard. This is because Starfleet believes that family is
important and member of Starfleet should be allowed to stay with there loved
ones whilst serving aboard there vessel and bases. |
|
Chief Diplomatic Officer |
The Diplomatic Officer of each vessel/base must be familiar with a variety
of areas: history, politics, economics, and military, and understand how
they affect potential threats. A wide range of operations can occur in
response to these areas and threats. These operations occur within three
general states of being: peacetime competition, conflict and war.
S/he
must be equally flexible and demonstrate initiative, agility, depth,
synchronization, and improvisation to provide responsive legal services to
his/her CO as well a diplomatic advise on current status of an Alien Species
both aligned and non aligned to the Federation.
The Chief Diplomatic Officer is in charge of the Diplomatic Corps
Detachment. He or she oversees the operation of it, as well as makes sure
everything in that department is carried out according to Starfleet
Regulations.
At present Commodore Sexton, and Sr. Commander May are both IFT
Ambassadors, and as such a Chief Diplomatic Officer is not necessary. |

Diplomat's Aide |
The Diplomat's Aide assists the Chief Diplomatic Officer whenever and however
needed. The Aide is an enlisted officer who has training in the diplomatic
field, and can do the job of a regular diplomatic officer if needed.
With Commodore Sexton and Sr. Commander May onboard, this post should be
filled at all times. |
