USS Agamemnon NFC-7801 - International Federation of Trekkers GEO 1

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana USA

Commodore Wayne Sexton Senior Commander Nicholas May

Welcome
to the
USS Agamemnon
NFC 7801

Support Department Chief Commodore Wayne Sexton

This department can be filled with members and non-members alike, and is manned by anyone that lends to the smooth operation of our events. Department functions include logistics and supply, cooking, sewing, cleaning, and anything else that will assist the command crew in the continued operations of the USS Agamemnon NFC 7801.  Also all new members to the USS Agamemnon are assigned to this department until the Captain contacts them to find out where they would like to be stationed.

Some of the position that are from the Support Department are:

Bar/Lounge Manager

On almost every Starfleet vessel and base, there is some kind of recreational area. A place where all members of the crew can relax and enjoy, a place to forget the rigors of the day.

The Bar/Lounge Manger runs such establishments for the crew.

Bartender

A ship/facility is operational 24 hours a day, and thus people are on duty around the clock, each having there free time at different times, but the recreational areas must stay open to accommodate these people. A Bar/Lounge Manager could not keep going 24 hours every day, and thus requires staff to assist him/her.

Waiter/Waitress

Every bar, every restaurant needs some form of friendly service to help the crew relax. A warm smile who brings your food or drinks, to chat when somebody is alone or down. the Waiter/Waitress are theses people.

School Teacher

In the modern 24th century, many children are taught by computer holograms. However real interaction with a living person is still valued. A computer can only teach so much. The teachers responsibilities is the education of the children aboard the ship/facility.

Additionally the teacher may be able to provide assistance in his/her field of specialty when required.

Barber

In the modern 24th century, many people still need to get hair cuts. This can be done by more, modern means, however real interaction with a living person is still valued. Besides, like the bartender, a barber is a good place to get advice, get something off your chest, or just talk about 'scuttlebutt' or gossip.

Civilian Specialist

Many of the Federation's top minds and specialists in different fields aren't in Starfleet, they are civilians. These people often venture into space aboard Starships and other facilities. They maybe Doctors, Scientist, or even Engineers. They use some of the science labs, when possible, to do their work while not interfering in operations of the ship or facility. Starfleet's primary role is exploration, and having these people on board really helps that endeavor.

Civilian

Many federation Starships and facilities have civilian personnel aboard. This is because Starfleet believes that family is important and member of Starfleet should be allowed to stay with there loved ones whilst serving aboard there vessel and bases.

Chief Diplomatic Officer

The Diplomatic Officer of each vessel/base must be familiar with a variety of areas: history, politics, economics, and military, and understand how they affect potential threats. A wide range of operations can occur in response to these areas and threats. These operations occur within three general states of being: peacetime competition, conflict and war.

S/he must be equally flexible and demonstrate initiative, agility, depth, synchronization, and improvisation to provide responsive legal services to his/her CO as well a diplomatic advise on current status of an Alien Species both aligned and non aligned to the Federation.

The Chief Diplomatic Officer is in charge of the Diplomatic Corps Detachment.  He or she oversees the operation of it, as well as makes sure everything in that department is carried out according to Starfleet Regulations.

At present Commodore Sexton, and Sr. Commander May are both IFT Ambassadors, and as such a Chief Diplomatic Officer is not necessary.

Diplomat's Aide

The Diplomat's Aide assists the Chief Diplomatic Officer whenever and however needed.  The Aide is an enlisted officer who has training in the diplomatic field, and can do the job of a regular diplomatic officer if needed.

With Commodore Sexton and Sr. Commander May onboard, this post should be filled at all times.
