The IFT Diplomatic Corps primary purpose is to seek out
other organizations that seek to work together in the spirit of COMMUNICATION,
COOPERATION and FELLOWSHIP.
One way that the IFT does this is by signing treaties with
these organizations. The following is a copy of the IFT Article of
Alliance that we sign when we find an organization that also seeks out to Keep
the Dream Alive.

ARTICLES OF ALLIANCE
Between
the ______________________, and the International Federation of Trekkers
PART
I - PREAMBLE
The members of the __________________,
aka _________________ and the members of the International Federation of
Trekkers, aka IFT, come together this, the ___________day of _______________ in
the year 200-, to form an agreement of alliance. By this agreement both
organizations agree to work together in the spirit of COMMUNICATION, COOPERATION
and FELLOWSHIP.
All
diplomatic dialogue will take place between designated representatives of both
groups. Unless otherwise specified, the chief diplomatic representative from the
International Federation of Trekkers will be Executive Ambassador, Captain Wayne
Sexton and the chief diplomatic representative from the __________________will
be _______________. However final authority with the administration of this
treaty lies with the appointed leadership councils of each respective
organization.
These and all diplomats are not
only to be seen as representatives of their government, but also as individuals
with the duty of giving a positive example for the whole of fandom, being
open-minded as they support interaction between the individual chapters and the
party governments.
Should
the assigned personnel with the task of administering this agreement for their
organization’s leadership find that there are violations of the alliance they
cannot settle between themselves, the settlement of the matter must be sent to
the leadership of each organization. If no
acceptable
level of settlement or amendment of the alliance
can be reached by the said leaderships after a reasonable and mutually agreed
length of negotiation, then this agreement may become null and void if so
ordered by either of the said leadership councils. Such nullifying action should
only be resorted to after some extreme violation and disagreement considering
the solemn pledge of friendship we make today.
Aside from times of dispute, either party to this agreement may dissolve the
alliance [separately or in unison] at any time given a three month period of
notice.
Regarding
disagreements between the individual organizations concerning matters outside of
this Alliance;
Any such
disagreements will be arbitrated in an open forum by the governing bodies of the
two organizations.
If the
matter cannot be settled by mutual agreement, an objective third party may be
selected to hear the arbitration, this person or organization being agreed upon
by both parties in said disagreement.
The terms and conditions having now been
fully negotiated agreed upon and identically understood by both parties, the
International Federation of Trekkers and the ___________________ mutually pledge
to each other their solemn word for the following purposes:
“To define a stable and lasting
relationship and understanding between these two governments; a relationship
which relies on communication, cooperation in mutually beneficial activities,
and the pursuit of peaceful enjoyment of their respective organizations in ‘STAR
TREK’ fandom.”
PART II -
DECLARATION
We purpose through our representatives
of the International Federation of Trekkers, hereafter referred to as the IFT,
and of the ____________________, hereafter referred to as __________________, to
declare that an alliance has been formed for the mutual benefit of their
respective organizations.
PART III PURPOSE
This
Alliance does not denote the implication of a merger, or for the purpose of a
cou~ de etat, but to strengthen the individual organizations in the world of
fandom and promote good will between organizations of similar interests and
concerns.
PART IV -
STATEMENT OF SEPARATE ENTITIES
Under the
provisions of the Alliance,
the IFT and the ________________ will remain separate entities governed by their
established organizational bylaws and guidelines. In no way does the Alliance
grant permission to either party of the Alliance
to exercise any type of control over the other

agreement being to help foster fellowship, may be amended or edited to allow for

will be entered into this document and considered part of the signed agreement.
