In the International Federation of
Trekkers, Ambassadors fill many needs and purposes in the name of working
towards the future that could be like that of Gene Roddenberry's world of Star
Trek. IFT Ambassadors are asked to help with internal disputes and disagreements
within the fabric of the IFT's ranks. In addition IFT Ambassadors help to
educate the membership on the purpose and mission that is "The Dream" that we
wish to obtain. IFT Ambassadors act as information distribution centers for
members on IFT events and affairs.
In the world of fandom IFT Ambassadors act as liaisons between various
organizations and the IFT. Publications, newsletters, events, get together, and
many other forms of inter-organizational activities are initialized through
communication lines between IFT Ambassadors and various organizations.
IFT Ambassadors are a potential gateway towards a much larger cooperation
between various organizations and fandom in working towards a mutual optimistic
future for every being that live on the Earth together.
If you are one of those unique individuals that always have a sense for seeing
various sides to a situation and have the ability to remain impartial and fair
to all parties involved you might want to consider becoming an Ambassador in the
IFT.
As representatives of IFT, Ambassadors have a very special mission in the world
of fandom. They have the special privilege of possibly being the catalyst that
ignite the passions that each of us hold. They may have the ability to touch off
that spark that Gene Roddenberry always felt that each of have. Perhaps by
touching off those sparks and helping each of us with our different interest to
combine those sparks for a mutual good, IFT Ambassadors may help in working
towards the future we all wish and hope for. |
