In the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "11001001" the starship Enterprise arrives at Starbase 74, where it is scheduled for the ship's computer system to be upgraded by the Bynars, a technologically advanced race of aliens. In the here and now Starbase 74 is an embassy of sorts for Star Trek fandom in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.
