Below are just over eighty pictures of the 2003 First Annual GEO 5 Conference, held August 9 - 10, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Russ Haslage, IFT President and IFT Chief of Operations, shows up just in time for the conference to start!  From Lorain, Ohio. Juanita Gamble, IFT Chief of Communications, GEO 5 XO, and CO of the USS Ulysses, chews on a piece of candy before the conference commences.  From Beaumont, California.

Cherif Boudjakdji, GEO 5 CO and CO of the USS Roddenberry, from Seattle, Washington. Marva Imel, IFT Secretary General, IFT Ship Services CO, and CO of the USS T'HY'LA, sticks her tongue out at the photographer.  From Cyberspace.

Brent Boehler, Ship Services XO and CO of the USS Valiant, after driving all the way from Tamaroa, Illinois. The front table where the bigwigs have gathered.

Nathan Gastineau, GEO 5 Mentorship Coordinator and CO of the USS Nathan Hale, sets up his laptop and waits for the action to begin. Center, Bonnie Lucas, the Nathan Hale's Chief of Communications.

Frank Tajalle, the Nathan Hale's resident Ferengi. Center, Trish Deihm, the Nathan Hale's Quartermaster and IFT's Official Clothier.

Center, Lorraine Chamberlain, the Nathan Hale's Chief of Security.  The USS Nathan Hale crew.  Right to left, Nathan Gastineau, 'D' Tajalle, Bonnie Lucas, Frank Tajalle, and Trish Deihm.

Center, Iris Buchanan, Chief of Operations aboard the USS Roddenberry, from Pasadena, California. Next to her, Judi Ramsey, the Roddenberry's XO, from Pasadena, California.

Danial Leahy, CO of the USS Renegade, formerly of northern California.. Joleen Dooley, CO of the USS Imzadi, from El Cajon, California.

Left to right, Joleen Dooley and Tiffany Ressler of the USS Imzadi, from El Cajon, California. Ben Stern of the USS Valiant, from Tamaroa, Illinois..

Herb Prewitt, CO of the USS Cascade, from Keller, Texas. Betty Rose of the USS Ulysses, from Beaumont, California.

Russ tells us all about IFT's Purposes and Goals. Cherif is Dr. Evil.

Top, Marva hands out a preliminary copy of the Chapter Commander's Handbook.

Right, 'D' shows off an autographed picture of Michael Dorn during the break.

Top, Danial's presentation for the USS Renegade.

Left, Nathan hangs out with the rest of his crew on the patio during the break.

Top, Judi, Iris, and Lorraine crack up during my presentation for the Ulysses.  What did I say?

Right, I warn Cherif that it better not be a butt shot!  Meanwhile, I go on with my impromptu Ulysses presentation, which was supposed to be presented by our Ship's Counselor, Pamela Gengo.

Nathan's very professional presentation for the Nathan Hale. Joleen's presentation for the Imzadi.

After the conference, our night out in Quark's Bar at the Star Trek: Experience in the Las Vegas Hilton. Juanita and Judi wait patiently for their warp core breach to arrive.

Cherif tries to resist the peer pressure to dive into a warp core breach with the rest of us. Nathan, Mr. Prohibitionist himself, has no trouble resisting.

Russ cracks up, but resists a drink as well. Bonnie is famished and waits with the rest of us to get some good food.

Danial Leahy and his fiancé, Trisha, at the table behind us. Herb and Paula Prewitt, waiting for dinner to be served.

Joleen orders up some fresh gak. Judi before the warp core breach.

Jason Dooley, Joleen's handy husband, who helped with printing the badges. Tiffany Ressler, Joleen's sister, also prepares to order something interesting from the menu.

Cherif gets his head lopped off by a contingent of jedis.  That's Damien Metz, CO of the USS Columbia, doing the honors. Damien's group, a bunch of Star Wars fans in Quarks Bar no less!  Of course, none of us had our phasers.

Yep, that's a warp core breach.  Dry ice and a blend of seven types of whiskey..or is it rum? Iris gives good oo-mox.

The Ferengi likes Bonnie too. Bonnie grabs another roaming male, a Klingon this time. ;-)

With one warp core breach under her belt, Juanita lets Cherif have it.  Cherif looks very, very afraid. Me, very possibly talking to the group behind us.

Iris checks out Frank's ears too. Russ and I, having a good time watching Judi and Juanita get drunk.

The first to gather for the call for a group shot.  It seems we're having difficulties holding the sign straight...hmmm. Juanita cracks up, but at least they're holding the sign a little straighter. ;-)

The big group shot, with most of us in account. Cherif does a slide into first base...no, really, it was the only place he would fit.

Cherif and 'D' compete for the same shooting position. Frank and the Ferengi.

I do a little cozying up to the Ferengi myself. Russ, in high demand, poses with Bonnie.

My turn. Nathan and Cherif get ready to escort Russ to the Ride.  Everyone has to try the Ride at least once!

Top, Iris has fun wandering the Star Trek museum, part of the Star Trek: Experience.

Left, the Gorn that almost bashed Kirk's brains in, in the TOS episode "Arena".

I do a quick regeneration cycle, before hopping on the Ride. Nathan does the same.

Paula and Herb check out the original costumes in the Star Trek Museum. Nathan, Bonnie, and the rest of the Nathan Hale crew compare their costumes to the ones on display.

Russ looks curious as well. Judi and Juanita, after two warp core breaches.

They are very happy people.  Juanita tries but just can't get the energy to flip off Cherif. Hey, back at the conference for Sunday, I'm among the first to get a promotion during the Awards Ceremony.

The USS Renegade is Rookie Ship of the Year. The Nathan Hale is in the Top Ten Percent.

The USS Ulysses is GEO 5 Ship of the Year. I present Joleen Dooley a Certificate of Appreciation for her hard work for the conference.

Top, I present Juanita a Dedication to Chapter award for the Ulysses.

Right, I display the award I would have given to Pam for the same dedication.

Bonnie Lucas receives a promotion to Lt. Commander. Cherif pretends to hand Judi an award, the one he forgot to do.

Russ accepts money from a new IFT member. Trish's Stitches presentation by Trish Deihm.

The many costumes made by Trish. The Klingon teddy also created by Trish, much better than those found at  the Star Trek: Experience.
