The list below will be our guideline for how ranks will progress onboard our vessel. This system has been modified from the system that is used by the IFT. The Captain has the discretion to promote people for all ranks, except those above Commander 3. The IFT will promote people beyond that particular rank.

Special note regarding promotion from Lieutenant Commander to Commander:
Those wishing to be promoted from Lt. Commander 1 to Commander 3 will be required to take the bridge officer's exam. It will set you up in four different scenarios which will test your skills in diplomacy, first alien civilization contact, bridge operations, and engineering operations. You must pass all four parts of this test and host at least one meeting in order to reach Commander.
