The delicious double layered chocolate cake provided by our XO, Pam. Yum! The entourage, left to right, Juanita, Betty (who never looks at the camera), Gene, Chuck, Kielynn-Marie, Luis, Dionna, Bonnie, Pam, and my empty seat.
Juanita, sitting next to me on the left, unfortunately for her. Bonnie, and her daughter, Dionna, flashing the camera. Well, you really can't see, but they're wearing blinking earings.
Chuck, looking devilish in his red shirt and twinkling eyes. Kielynn-Marie and Luis who made it unscathed from El Segundo (and this is before the beers).
Gene, looking very excited about Juanita's surprise birthday party. Smile! Another double layered, chocolate cake to devour.
Luis goes gaga over Gene's tools. Juanita presents Luis (and the Viajero) a certificate of appreciation. One was also presented to the Nathan Hale, but I don't know where the heck that picture is.
After vainly trying to maintain a serious face, Juanita and Luis crack up, under the influence of alcohol. Good stuff! The plaque provided by Pam and presented to Juanita commemorating our anniversary and her excellent service to the ship. What in the WORLD am I doing?
