Our first gander at all the lights, we meet a pair of girrafes! It's a cold night, but the lights are beautiful. Juanita and Gene heat up some icy benches as we settle in to watch the Wild Animal Show.
The cerval's amazing jumping abilities impress even in the dark. The coatimundi is an exotic addition to the show.
Top, as we walk the compound, we spot a giant spider!

Of course, Sabi, the cheetah, is always a welcome sight. What a gorgeous cat!

Some pretty butterflies light up the night. Happy Zoo Year to one and all!
A zebra gallops into view. And the rattlesnake slithers into the night.
Our adoptee for 2003, the magnificent mountain lion! The tunnel of lights, Juanita and Gene seem surrounded by a net of stars.

Santa's Sleigh flies off into the night. And a frog leaps the lillies to land on the pond.
In the food zone, Santa Claus takes some Christmas wishes. Gene and Juanita snuggle up to the fire. It's a cold night!
I'm taller, I'm taller! And boy, does that get Juanita's goat. ;-) The many fires in the break area, and they were very much appreciated!
